Jonathan Hay Publicity (JH Publicity LLC) with Hoopla Worldwide recently rolled out a massive campaign for the single “Oxygen” by Napoleon Da Legend featuring Chef Raekwon (the legendary emcee from the Wu Tang Clan), in which the Rolling Stone dubbed them as ”the best rap group ever.” Our campaign hit millions of new listeners across the globe as we successfully placed this song on all the major urban and hip-hop websites and media outlets.

With Raekwon being one of the most influential rap artists of all-time says something, people pay attention. For our campaign, Raekwon had the following thing to say about Napoleon Da Legend (which we gave exclusively to SOHH).

“When I first heard the beat by Napoleon Da Legend, I knew it was gonna be special, but when I heard his vocals and  the beat combined, it reminded me of myself being  a hungry cat coming up bout to take the game by storm. In an interview, publicist Jonathan Hay admitted to creating the rumor that the then-unknown Pop singer Rihanna was having an affair with Jay-Z (who at the time was dating Beyonce). The rumor—which Hay helped strategically spread throughout tabloids, radio stations, gossip blogs, forums and pop communities online—circulated the media at lightening speed. Many claim that it was this rumor that helped propel Rihanna’s debut single “Pon de Replay” from Timbuktu to Number 2 on the Billboard chart records. Soon after, she became one of the biggest selling artists of all-time.
