Carl Köhler | Jonathan Hay Publicity

Jonathan Hay Publicity is working with the Estate of Swedish neo-Modernist painter Carl Köhler (1919-2006). Gregory Cowles of The New York Times said, “Köhler was a neo-modernist who especially liked to paint writers and intellectuals: Kafka, Beckett, Joyce, Gide, Beauvoir, all in a rough, haunting style that captured their writerly moods as much as their physical appearances.”

Since 2008, his son, Henry Köhler, has been placing his father’s art all across the world with expeditions in museums, libraries and universities. Now in 2013, this Neomodernistic style artist is in high demand with his value rising at an alarming rate.
