Hoodlum Ball Records streams hit over 150 Million in 2018.

Jail Tattoos by Jonathan Hay and Ranna Royce

Entrepreneurs Ranna Royce and Jonathan Hay started Hoodlum Ball Records in Fall 2017 from Los Angeles, California. By the time the cold winter came around, they were officially up and running in Louisville, Kentucky. They started releasing music at the beginning of 2018 and haven’t looked back. Royce and Hay’s catalog has now amassed over 150 million streams across all music platforms. Their albums have hit the Billboard Charts in multiple genres.

Thus far, Royce and Hay built a catalog of over 300 songs that include collaborations with Yung Bleu, Riff Raff, Twista, Lil Windex, Cyhi The Prynce, Kxng Crooked, Bubba Sparxxx, T-Rell (Nelly), MC Eiht of Compton’s Most Wanted, Conway (Shady Records), RZA, Inspectah Deck(Wu-Tang Clan), Iliana Eve, DJ Whoo Kid, Slim Jesus, Sadat X of Brand Nubian, Bizarre from D12, Chino XL, Kevin Pollari (Lil Yachty), and many more.

After a year of blood, sweat, and tears — the nonstop work of Ranna Royce and Jonathan Hay is finally paying off enormously. With what they were able to accomplish in just a little over a year, it’s safe to say that this duo is here to stay and will continue to dominate the music industry. The combination of Royce, Hay, and their joined strategic alliance with business tycoon Mike Smith (BET), screams that the sky is the limit for Hoodlum Ball Records.

The single “The Boardwalk” with Twista, Smith & Hay and Ranna Royce was just released to rave reviews.

“Producers Smith and Hay, along with Ranna Royce flip a sixties classic from The Drifters called ‘Under The Boardwalk,’ and for whatever reason, it awoke something in Twista’s vivid imagination. There’s something deeply cinematic about the imagery here, and Twista remains consistently on point. In fact, his rapid-fire flow hasn’t lost a step in over twenty years, and there’s something to be said about that. If you enjoyed his slept on Crook County project, do yourself a favor and take a trip to ‘The Boardwalk.'”

“The track pulls from The Drifters’ classic ‘The Boardwalk,’ and follows previously released singles “Pawn Shop” featuring Conway and ‘Homewrecker’ with KXNG Crooked. The Hoodlum Ball is expected to arrive on January 12 and boasts guest vocals from CyHi The Prynce, Chino XL, The Game and more.”

“The trio [Smith and Hay, Ranna Royce] are back in business with Twista on ‘The Boardwalk,’ which finds the ChiTown legend rocking a flip of The Drifters’ classic of the same name.”

“Homewrecker”, a song about relationship betrayal and infidelity from the upcoming LP The Hoodlum Ball has went viral after being seen on HotNewHipHop.

HNHH posted the following:

Crooked has dropped off a new single, which finds him opening up about one of his most costly vices – infidelity. Over a swing-heavy beat from Smith and Hay, as well as Persian producer Ranna Royce, Crooked looks to himself and delivers an honest confessional. “Let me tell my story, this is how it goes,” raps Crooked, in the opening bars. “I met my soulmate but I never got rid of my hoes, late night text turn to late night sex with my ex, she said I know you got a woman just don’t bring her to your shows.”

So far the singles from the LP, “Pawn Shop” with Eminem’s new artist Conway, “Jack in The Box” with Riff Raff and now “Homewrecker” have all impacted the internet reaching millions.
